Chair Bed Sleeper
A great way to add extra sleeping space is a chair bed sleeper. Modeled after the futon, chair bed sleepers provide you with comfortable seating that can be quickly converted into a bed. Often called a hide a bed chair, these unique items of furniture can be as comfortable as they are flexible.
In some designs of chair bed sleepers a section is nested under the seat of the chair. When the chair is needed for sleeping, the nested section is simply pulled out to create a sleeping space that is roughly equivalent to a twin size bed. In other designs, the back of the chair and seat move in a single motion, much like a mechanical futon frame.
Chair bed sleepers can be purchased in various sizes ranging from less than 30 inches wide to chair bed sleepers that are close to the size of a full or double size bed. Available in many fabrics and colors, these chairs are great way to maximize small room spaces like college dorm rooms or other rooms where space is an issue.
